    Hey there Lo Five funksters,

    We’ve got a whole lot of exciting news to fill you in about!

    First up – we are delighted to announce that our debut album ‘Singularity‘ is now available for download from our Bandcamp store!  All album bundles come with a free track and a spiffy artwork booklet PDF.  We are so excited to finally share it with the world – so if you dig, give us a hand getting the word out and share the link!

    First up in the player is “Little Man” featuring The Sweet Inspirations.  These soul legends were such a pleasure to work with and gave us a day in the studio that will be in our hearts forever!


    Next up we’d love you to check out our Gigs page for some extended live shows we have coming up next month.  All of the shows are free and you’ll be able to enjoy 3 sets of Lo Five funky goodness… so come join us!

    Thursday 20th September brings two of Sydney’s most exciting new bands together in a head to head musical bout like no other.

    Dead Ears‘ Indie Pop smarts Vs Lo Five‘s Soul Funk grooves in the intimate inner west boxing ring located @ Notes, Newtown.

    Come witness the fitness, get down, drink on, dance around and get ready for some sweaty, all in, no holds barred, full contact, tet-a-tet live original music action.

  8. Lo Five – live shows!!

    Hey funky peepz,

    just want to share with you the plethora of live shows we have coming up!!
    We’re damn excited and can’t wait to have you come down and get your good foot on with us!

    First up on Thursday 9th August we are playing @ The Landsdowne Hotel with Daniel Allars in support.

    Then on Saturday 11th August we are playing at one of our favourite Sydney venues –
    The Mac     on Wentworth Ave.

    Later in the month we have a cheeky 2 week Friday night residency at a funky new bar on Bayswater Road called Montague.

    And next month we will be doing shows appearing alongside Dead Ears  and also Vanessa Raspa & The Zombie Cats…!!

    Plenty of opportunity for us to get down together – make sure you come up and say hi!

    Finally, we would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new live drummer / percussionist – the one and only rhythm king via the UK – Ian Mussington (Space Invadas, Soul Asylum), who will be joining us for all these shows!!

  9. RIP Amy Winehouse – a year ago today

    RIP Amy Jade Winehouse – your time here came to a close far too soon.  Thank you for your musical legacy.

    It is a year ago today that the great talent of Amy Winehouse was so tragically taken from this earth.  We wrote this track in December 2010 as an ode to, and song of warning for Amy.  A little over 6 months later and our song turned out to be tragically prophetic.

    We are very excited to get you all involved with keeping Amy’s memory alive!

    To get things rolling, we would like to give to you our track Heavenly Ho.

    That’s right, we’re going to give you the track for FREE – and in your choice of format too!! ;)

    We wrote this track in December 2010 as an ode to, and song of warning for Amy Winehouse.
    A little over 6 months later, she was forever taken from us all.
